We are looking for a volunteer to join our graphic design team. This position can used to fill internship credits, or for someone looking to gain experience in the design world. The Graphic Design Team lays out the entire print edition, as well as designing other projects like event posters and flyers, website updates, media kits, ads, renewal notices, pins, T-shirts and other products.

Requirements:
- Adobe Creative Suite 5 (mostly InDesign)
- a love of WORN and independent publishing

Can fulfill a commitment to:
- a minimum of seven months with the team
- attendance at general staff meetings on the 15th of every month
- attendance at weekly graphic design meetings every Monday night from 7-9
- attendance at Image Board Meetings every month
- attendance at a design intensive weekend, scheduled in advance, a week prior to shipping issue to the printer
- additional 5-10 hours a week of design work

WORN Fashion Journal has thrown some truly great parties: karaoke, decade dances, gala fundraisers — we love to celebrate with our readership and community. But all of this play isn’t without a little elbow grease behind the scenes. We do our best to cook up something special for every WORN event, and now we need another crafty events coordinator to add his or her own special spice to our upcoming launch parties and fundraisers. This is an excellent opportunity for leadership experience in event planning and publicity within Toronto’s (and beyond) artistic community. This is a volunteer position for now, on average 5-6 hours a week, double time just before an event. A 12 month commitment is required. The successful applicant will be working closely with the current event director to divide tasks, generate ideas and explore the possibilities of additional programming.

We’re looking for creative graphic design volunteers to work on page layout on a freelance basis. This is a great opportunity for those looking to add more editorial work to their portfolios.

Interested applicants should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop) and illustration or photography talents are a bonus.
