In one of the most visually stimulating styling choices, Patrick Mohr sent his models down the runway sporting shaved heads and dramatic facial hair, opting for a scraggly look instead of the typical full and thick style previously favoured by fashion rags.

Recently on our youtube radar are Glow Pinkstah’s makeup tutorials. As G Wornette says, “She seriously makes me laugh, and I think it’s interesting that so much of her comedy/performance centers around looks and aesthetic expectation.” Check out her Goth and Avatar makeup how-to’s.

On the blogs, Isabel gives her two cents on the Vogue Italia oil spill spread, while Tavi, who has inherited quite the piece from one Kathleen Hanna, shares her thoughts on the relationship between fashion and feminism.

For pure eye candy, Hillary Wornette says these McQueen shoes “are God,” while these see-through dresses of the 1930s on the FIDM blog need no introduction.

  1. I’m SO HAPPY you posted the Patrick Mohr images. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a fashion image that really surprised me – but these did. When I saw them I felt like it was the first time I’d seen someone do androgyny without trying to be pretty.
