Just when you thought we were going to shut up about our Pin Up, Party Down issue release, we get a stack of new images from photographer Lisa Kannakko. Lisa was kind enough to set up a very sequin-ny photobooth for guests to have their pictures snapped in. Several posed with the new issue itself (including blogger Hannah of an Aesthetic Feast, right above). I might be super incredibly biased, but doesn’t issue 10 just look so good with every outfit? You can get your own copy here, and in the meantime check out more photobooth pictures on our flickr.
What do you get when you combine a bike shop, 500 artist-designed pins, 100+ stylish guests, cheap beer and a brand new issue of WORN?
It’s too early to do the math, so we’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
The first picture of issue 10 on the blog (it does exist)!
For those of you waiting with baited breath to receive a copy, subscriptions will be sent out on June 15, and the issue will go on sale in the webstore on June 16. Mark your calendars!
If you are lucky enough to find yourself in New York City next weekend, come find us at Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn on June 5th and 6th.
If you still can’t wait (and we don’t blame you), we’ve got lots more pictures from last weekend to tide you over.
It’s been a few months since we had our last issue release party, and we know you’re just achin’ for more.
The wait is over: Tonight (May 28) at Toronto’s Cinecycle we are celebrating our issue 10 release! Doors open at 9 p.m., but the party’s going on all night (well, until 2 a.m.).
Tickets are 7$, or 5$ if you’re wearing a pin – and yes, that includes a free copy of the fresh-from-the-printers issue 10. Plus, for a mere buck a piece, we will be selling the artist-designed pins pictured above. Limited edition pieces of one-inch wearable art? We knew you’d get excited.
See you there!
On Friday, May 28, 2010 WORN Fashion Journal is launching issue 10 with a delightfully pointy celebration of one-inch wearable art.
Fasten your eyes on our display of 500 limited edition one-inch buttons designed by REAL artists (and assembled by real WORN staff).
This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for: Stick it to a friend! A loved one! Stick it to fashion! WORN has been around for FIVE WHOLE YEARS. Celebrate with us and we’ll stick it to you!
Then show off your sharpest moves all night long, dancing to sassy, soulful songs from the ‘60s.
